The Game

Another one of my favorite rappers is The Game. Every album he has put out has been really good. He has a unique voice and his beats are always very good and I think he's extremely underrated. He has a sort of West Coast vibe, but (especially in his album Doctor's Advocate) he doesn't rap about guns and drugs as much (he still does, but not as much as other rappers). He has raps a lot about life and about that are relevant. So not only do his song's just sound good, they actually mean something.
Here are a few of his favorite songs by The Game:
In game's first album, Doctor's Advocate, he raps mostly about gangsters, guns, etc. etc. Then, in his 2nd album, The Documentary (my favorite album by him), he kind of changed his style. He started rapping more about life and things like that (check out Start from Scratch, Runnin', and Like Father, Like Son). In his 3rd album, L.A.X., he raps most about Los Angeles (obviously). And you could tell that it went with the drift of Hip-Hop (it was more toned down and more modern). Then he released the Purp and Patron Mixtape, which was really good. The best song on it was Taylor Made ft. Wiz Khalifa. And his most recent album, Red Album, is alright, but nothing close to his previous works. But by listening to rappers that have been around for a while (Snoop Dogg, Kanye West, The Game, Dr Dre, etc.) you could tell how much Hip-Hop has changed. I still like Hip-Hop, but it feels like it's missing something. Let's just see where music is 5 yrs from now.
