Free Music online - Dirpy

Before I began using http://www.clipconverter.cc/ and http://www.youtube-mp3.org/, I was using http://www.dirpy.com/. And for whatever reason, they shut it down. So, after a long time off-line, Dirpy is now available again. From what I remember when I last used it, little has changed. But it still is a great website. Another website that gives you Free Music Online. The only main disadvantage that Dirpy has to Clip Converter is that it has less file formats available for download (MP3, MP4, FLV). Clip Converter is probably the best website in that category, with 12 different formats.

Violence Begets Violence - Jedi Mind Tricks

I am really looking forward to Jedi Mind Trick's new album, Violence Begets Violence. But it might sound completely different from their previous works. For the first, Vinne Paz and Jus Allah will be without Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind on Jedi Mind Tricks. In my opinion, the beats that Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind produced were the best part of most Jedi Mind Trick songs (not Vinnie Paz's rapping). JMT released their first single from Violence begets Violence, called Target Practice. I already heard it and thought it sounded great. The beat was still A-grade, even with out Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind. But to recraete his skill, JMT needed to use at least 6 or 7 new producers. That just shows how valuable Stoupe is. Violence Begets Violence is set to drop on October 25th 2011. Support Vinnie Paz, Jus Allah, and Jedi Mind Tricks by bying Violence Begets Violence!

I have provided a video from youtube of Target Practice, the lead single from JMT's new 2011 album Violence Begets Violence. Please provide your opinions and leave a comment.

Fruity Loops Free Audio/Beat Maker Software

I found out about a new beat-making software. It's really detailed and it might take a while to learn, but when you figure it out it's great. It has a great piano roll and has a variety of sounds to chose from (which you can customize). It also has features which let you make your own synths, and it has drum pads too. It's a great software. But it cost money. So i found a free version on cnet downlaods. It's bascially the same thing, but you can't go back and change your loops. But you can save it as MP3 and WAV.

Here's the free download link for the demo version of Fruity Loops from cnet:
http://download.cnet.com/FL-Studio/3000-2170_4-10030774.html?tag=contentMain;contentBody;1d

(sorry about the color, I can't fix it for some reason)
It's definitely worth to download it.
Hope you enjoy it, leave a comment on what you think about it.

Here's a screen shot of the program and some of its features. It has synth makers, and many virtual instruments, like pianos and guitars.

Red Album Review

I didn't know what to expect from the Game's new album, the Red Album. But after listening to every song, I decided to write a pretty detailed review all of the 19 tracks (including bonus tracks, but excluding the skits). I will also provide a ranking out of a 100 (remember, this is my opinion, you might love the song I hate and vice versa) Here's what I think about it:

Red Nation - This is probably the best song on the album. With a sample from Kernkraft 400 by Zombie Nation, this song has a more electronic feel to it, but it still keeps the feel of a real, early 2000’s hip-hop song. The Game does really good lyrically too. The line that stands out the most is,” Niggas'll trade they soul to be Drake or J. Cole. Live and die for this shit, word to Tupac Shakur's halo”. That’s the Game I know from the Documentary and the Doctor’s Advocate.  Also, Lil’ Wayne’s part was pretty good too. It was smart that he only sang the chorus. (Lil’ Wayne almost always messes up a good song when he’s given a full verse). Excellent song. 87/100

The City - This song has been getting a lot of deserved hype. Also, this should put up-and-coming Compton rapper, Kendrick Lamar. Both the Game and Kendrick Lamar do their thing lyrically and the beat is spectacular. Kendrick Lamar also does really good on the chorus. Amazing song. 84/100

The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
- I love the beat on this song. It immediately sets the mood for the song. The Game also raps to perfection. Good flow, great lyrics, pretty much what we expect from the Game. There is only one problem, it finishes to early at about 2 and a half minutes. 78/100

Mama Knows - Another amazing beat. Every artist needs a song honoring their Mom, and this is one of the better ones. It has a little more of a sad, regretful vibe to it, but it is still kind of uplifting in a weird way. The Red Album is shaping up to be a great piece of work. 79/100

Pot of Gold - Chris Brown does really good work on the chorus, and the Game has some good lyrics too. But I felt that there was too much Chris Brown, and too little of the Game. The song is also surprisingly easy-listening and less hard-hitting compared to most of the Game’s other songs. Great song. 80/100

Speakers on Blast - The first line sums it all up : It's not usual, the Game be, all up on some South shit." You immediately feel the heavy-hitting bass you usually find on Bay Area and Southern songs. And who better to have featured than E-40 and Big Boi. This is the perfect song to blast while cruising in a car. 78/100

Drug Test - This is the ultimate West Coast reunion, with The Game, Dr Dre, and even Snoop Dogg on the song. But "Drug Test" falls really short. You would expect more, but it just doesn't deliver. It's still an okay song though. 64/100

Ricky - This song hits you at once. It includes a sample from Boyz n the Hood, and that saxophone is excellent. The song has an unusual free-flowing format, but it sounds great. Great song. 74/100

Heavy Artillery -In my opinion, Rick Ross is one of the most overrated rappers nowadays. Great beat, but for some reason it gets pretty annoying after a while. The song is pretty stale, but it has some good points. 60/100

Paramedics - Young Jeezy  is a pretty annoying rapper (at least that's my opinion). The song could of been good, but it feels as if half of the lyrics was mumbled. When The Game comes on, he breathes some life into it, but it's too little too late. Could have achieved more. 64/100

Hello - The song features Lloyd, who sings the hooks and provides some background vocals. But he has an extremely high pitched voice which can get really annoying, really fast. Other than that, the song was average. 54/100

All the Way Gone - The R.E.D. Album has too much love songs. But at least the song is pretty good. The song features Mario, who does a really good job on the hook, and Wale, who is alright. All in all, it's a pretty good song. 67/100

Keep checking back, I'm not yet finished with the review.

PAK-FA / T-50 and the J-20

Russia has recently developed its own new 5th generation fighter. It's still a prototype but is scheduled for service in a few years. It's predicted to be on par with the American F-22 in both Air-to-Air and Air-to-Ground Combat. It incorporates stealth technology like internal weapon bays and radar reflective paint. It recently took off for its first flight. China is developing its own 5th generation stealth fighter. The J-20 seems to be larger than both the US F-22 and the Russian PAK-FA. Little is known about it so far. The US also is expecting it's multi-role stealth fighter, the F-35, to come into service in a few years. The Russians also are developing the Mikoyan LMFS, based on the canceled MiG-1.44 design.

 Russian Stealth Fighter PAK-FA (T-50/Su-50)
 US Stealth Fighter F-22
 Chinese Stealth Fighter J-20
US Stealth Fighter/Bomber F-35

India, Japan and South Korea are also considering to build their own 5th generation stealth fighter.
Only the future can tell which one of these aircraft will be most successful.
A great place to see intelligent discussion about these aircraft is worldaffairsboard.com

Watch the Throne Review

Kanye West's and Jay-Z's new collaboration album has recently been recently released on Aug. 8th. I was a little worried what the album what sound like after hearing the debut single HAM. I will write a pretty detailed review all of the 16 tracks (including bonus tracks). I will also provide a ranking out of a 100 (remember, this is my opinion, you might love the song I hate and vice versa) Here's what I think about it :
Otis - The 2nd single, and probably the best song, from the album Watch the Throne. Heavy sampling from oldies superstar Otis Redding gives a very soulful, 70's vibe to this song. The beat is really good and creative. Kanye's and Jay-Z's lyrics were a little above average in my opinion. They've both had a lot more better songs, lyrically. Over all a very good song, 80/100.
Murder to Excellence -  A surprisingly good song and with very good lyrics. Both Kanye and Jay killed it. My favorite line is when Kanye West said, "I'm from the murder capital where they murder for capital." Sounds very much like the old Kanye songs from Graduation and College Dropout. Very Very well produced and performed. 87/100
New Day - A very thought provoking and creative song, New Day, also like Murder to Excellence, songs similar to the old Kanye Graduation/College Dropout songs. The song is relaxed and the woman singing in the background fits in almost perfectly. Basically, the song is about Kanye West and Jay-Z rapping about how they will raise their sons (if and when they get them). I loved the track. 84/100
No Church in the Wild - I knew this song was going to be good just by the title. It starts out with a heavy bass synth which immediately captures your attention. Then a relative newcomer, Frank Ocean, who has received some very justified hype from this album, follows up by saying some  very powerful lines. The lyrics and a full, line by line, explanation is available at: http://rapgenius.com/Kanye-west-no-church-in-the-wild-lyrics
The song is surprisingly deep and meaningful. A great song. 88/100
HAM - The album's debut single is usually the best song, but not in this case. The song has actually been downgraded to be a bonus track. But it's still a good song. A bit too abnoxiuos, but still a good song. 62/100

Gotta have it - I'm liking this song. The beat and chorus make this song what it is. Jay-Z and Kanye don't do anything too special lyrically. But Jay-Z does throw in a couple creative lines, for example,"wish I could give you this feeling, I’m planking on a million".
Overall, a pretty good song. 74/100

Ni**as in Paris - The beginning is really good, and Jay-Z kills it on the chorus. But just like many recent songs, the lyrics and the way it's said totally destroy the song. And it has a pointless ending (it goes on too long). It would've been a really good song but falls short by some pretty stupid mistakes. With a couple of changes with Audacity, however, I made it in into a pretty good song. 56/100

Prime time - The beat is really good . It seems like every song on this album has a good beat and flow to it. The first verse, rapped by Jay-Z, is really good lyrically. It might be bonus track, but this goes hard. A great track. 78/100

Illest  Motherfuc*er Alive - When the song actually starts, the beat immediately puts you in the right mood. The Opera that comes in at about the 4:30 mark is surprisingly compatible and matches the rest of the song. Also like Prime time, it's bonus track, but is still very good.  74/100

Lift Off - With an album with very little featured artists, Lift Off, can easily be mistaken for one of the best songs on the album. The song features Beyonce, the only big name in the entire album other than Jay and Kanye. And she is the only brightspot on the entire song. Great chorus, but suprisingly bad rapping, dull, and boring verses from Jay and Kanye. I believe that it's going to be the 3rd single from the album. Had alot of potential, but fell short. Really short. 54/100

Who gon Stop Me - Overall great song. Kanye always finds the best vocal samples for his songs. Great lyrics, great beats, but kind of annoying end. Still a good song. 70/100

Why I Love You - This song features Mr.Hudson, who is pretty good on this song. The hook gets you in the right mood for the song. Then Jay and Kanye take it up a notch with great flow and lyrics. I liked this song. 83/100
Welcome to the Jungle - Swizz Beatz is always a positive addition to every song. He provides some background vocals and helped Kanye produce the song. When you have 2 of the best producers in music on one song, the beat has to good. And it is.  Lyrics are good but not amazing. Great song. 74/100

Made in America - Frank Ocean did really good on both of the songs he was featured on. He has the perfect voice for Kanye's beats. And once again, the beat was really good and fit in perfectly. It sounded effortless and natural, nothing was forced. Great lyrics by both Jay and Kanye. Overall, a great song. 77/100

The Joy - Not much to say here. An okay song. Nothing too special about it. But the hook is great. It's worth a listen. It kind of fell just a little short for me. Average song. 67/100

That's my Bitch - Exactly like The Joy, it's a good song with a few mistakes. Also as in The Joy, the hook is the best part. It was alright and at least worth a listen. 65/100

85+ Classic -3
80+ Excellent -2
75+ Very Good -2
70+ Good -4
60+ Above Average - 3
50+ Below Average - 2
40+ Bad - 0
1-39 Horrible - 0

Overall Album, Watch The Throne ranking: 82/100

Summary:  Could have achieved far more in my opinion. It has a couple of duds, but other than that, the album was amazing. Easily the best album of the year. Definitely worth it to buy the album, whether it's online or in a record store. Kanye West and Jay-Z did it again.
